The Orange Tree Inn Hereford City
The Orange Tree Inn stands at the junction of St Nicholas’ Street and King Street, top of Bridge Street. Originally called The Apple Tree, the Inn stood behind the old St Nicholas’ Church until 1841 and is one of the oldest pubs in Hereford.
One of my favourite haunts around Hereford City and was good to see it being restored and opening soon....

1322 Friary begun after endless quarrels with
Cathedral Chapter. Only surviving part of Friary is the range west of
cloister. At Dissolution it passed to the Scudamores, and then to the
Coningsbys (who built house on site)

A geophysical survey carried out in 1994 demonstrated
the existence of many features within the ornamental gardens between
the upstanding ruins and the Hospital, some of which will be associated
with the monastic use of the area.

The Chequers Inn, Etnam St, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 8AD
The Chequers in Leominster was one of my favourite Inns last year and what a wonderful old black and white building built in the 16th century possibly earlier.

Looking forward to visiting again very soon and having a browse around the local antique shops, one of my favourite places is Leominster.
Its very simple to catch a train and there in 14 minutes and always worth a visit.Monday, 4 April 2016
